Since my senior project I have continued working on pens made from locally sourced driftwood, but other initiatives have developed as well. Pens for two firefighter conferences were made and key chains were conceived out of old hockey sticks with
the money raised going to support the first responders who were on scene of the
horrific bus crash that claimed the lives of 16 members of the SJHL’s Humboldt Broncos on April 6, 2018.

Word has gotten out that I have an interesting hobby, so I am being gifted wood from renovation companies, friends and family members. I am also working with material from large pieces of furniture that have been passed down and either have no place in the home or are beyond repair. This resQ series is being turned into pens or key chains and serve as a reminder of the history and memories of each piece.

Enjoy looking through my gallery. If you have a piece of furniture or would like to purchase a pen made specifically for you, drop me a line and let’s have a conversation.

**A donation of 5% is made to the CMHA from all of the pens sold that are made from driftwood. In addition to driftwood, I am also making pens out of upcycled material, specifically walnut from a pump organ ca. 1920 and fir from the sub floor of the legendary Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. 5% was also made from the sale of those pens as well.
